Bharti Airtel, in association with National Geographic Channel has announced the first two winners of their unique and extensive talent-hunt for students ‘Airtel Nat Geo Young Explorer’. Rishi Srinivasan of standard VI from Chennai Public School in the junior level and Aarohi Sanghavi of standard VIII from Lady Andal Venkata Subbarao School in the senior level are the winners from Chennai.
This initiative, 125 schools with approx 60,000 students, was launched in August to identify India’s bright budding young explorers, who have the curiosity and aptitude to explore the world full of adventure & excitement and also test & hone their skills which are required in this competitive world.
Around 43 schools from Chennai participated in this talent hunt that happened in PSBB Millennium School, Gerugambakkam on December 5, 2010. Among the schools that were part of this talent hunt in Chennai include PSBB Millennium School, Chennai Public School, SBOA School, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Kola Perumal Chetty Vaishnav Senior Secondary School etc.
The contest was also open to students outside Delhi NCR, Bangalore & Chennai on www.natgeotv.co.in/airtel.
