Testing and commissioning for TBM has started at Washermanpet Underground Station. 7 temporary rings are proposed to be built and will be used to cut the D wall 800mm thickness during the first week of October. The Tunnel Boring Machine will drive towards Broadway.
It would be good if the suburban train stations and MRTS is also upgraded simultaneously - better lighting, cleaner environment, services for travellers, working escalators and lifts - rather than be left behind as poor cousins.
