Madras Esplanade Ladies Circle 100 (MELC - 100), a member of the Ladies Circle India, is organising a lifestyle Expo exclusively for Women and Children. Ladies Circle India is a non-profit organization formed by the wives of members of the Round Table.
Ladies Circle India is a 1200+ member strong association - 90 Circles across 47 cities and towns, comprising of Housewives, businesswomen, entrepreneurs, technocrats and professionals.
The day long expo, organised specifically with the view of raising funds for various charitable causes, will be held on the 1st October at The Raintree Hotel, Mount Road and will showcase end-to-end lifestyle products from the cities of Bangalore, Coimbatore, Bombay, Delhi and Kolkata under one roof.
This expo is open to the public and will feature a wide range of products such as Designer Clothes for women, Kids’ Wear, Costume Jewellery, Designer Blouses, a wide range of Books, masterpieces of Arts and Paintings, Diwali shopping products including Diyas, Chocolates, Gift articles, etc.
Key participants at the expo include Turakhia, Landmark, Vinnyasa Art Gallery, and Naturals Beauty Parlour to name a few. Visitors to the expo can benefit from free gifts such as Designer Candles, Silver Articles, Gift vouchers and Gadgets worth 50,000. Coloured Eye lenses from Turakhia will also be given free during the expo. A La Change, the beauty salon for women will also offer free eye make up for visitors to the expo.

Mala Sethi, Chairperson of Ladies Circle 100 says, “As part of our national initiative Educate-to-Enlighten, we undertake initiatives with the view of making a difference in the lives of under privileged people. This fair is a fund-raising initiative and a reiteration of our effort to underprivileged and needy sections of the society. We hope to raise funds from this event to support charitable causes.”
Madras Esplanade Ladies Circle 100 has been supporting long-term projects by raising funds through various fundraising activities. The funds raised through these activities have been spent on the upliftment of destitute women & children, building of classrooms and for providing better sanitation facilities, water supply, better education facilities, etc, to the needy across identified schools in and around Chennai.
