Reliance Jio broadband service is on cards for release


Reliance Jio is all set to unveil the Fiber to Home broadband service. This is on cards to go live by June 2017, say analysis reports. The reports also claim that the company has been performing trials in different cities.

The Fiber broadband is not a suspense launch. This home broadband will provide customers with 100 Mbps of minimum speed. The service will be launched at absolutely affordable rates.

Speculations about Jio Fiber service state that the speed offered will be 1GB per second approximately. This will be a game changer indeed. However, for quite some time now, the trials have been taking place.

In select colonies of Chennai city, people had shared their experience about testing of Fiber service in September 2016. Residents in different societies were requested to try Jio broadband service. Last year, the testing of service was also done in Mumbai and Pune.

The Reliance Jio website already has recharge for home options, wired broadband. The options are however not exercised yet. Hence, it is safer to say that the broadband service is expected soon.

According to earlier reports, Jio is gearing up for a range of services including 1GBps broadband, smart TV boxes, DTH, IoT solution, etc.
