Director Vincent Selvaa who recently underwent a change in him to be known now as V. Selvaa, has started work in an upcoming film Inga Enna Solludhu. Producer-actor VTV Ganesh plays the lead role in the film along with comedian Santhanam. Inga Enna Solludhu also happens to be the popular dialogue recited by Ganesh in the Gautham Menon film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.
Selvaa, who has made films such as Priyamudan Youth, Vattakudi Iranian and Jithan, had claimed in his early days in the industry that he had the name ‘Vincent’ prefixing his actual name Selvaa as he was a great admirer of cinematographer Vincent. The name change need not necessarily mean that Selvaa’s admiration for the cameraman has come down but is only the former’s attitude to go with the changing times.
Changing his favourite of action-cum-sentiment based films, Selvaa has launched Inga Enna Solludhu which promises to be a fun-filled film as Ganesh and Santhanam play the two most prominent characters in the film. The most amazing fact about the film is that the burly Ganesh gets to pair up opposite the petite Meera Jasmine, the national award-winning actress who has done quite a few films in Tamil.
Selvaa’s first choice to play the heroine was Sneha who listened to the script and opined that she loved it. When she came to know that she would be paired opposite Ganesh, Sneha had made it clear to Selvaa to look for another heroine despite a huge pay-packed from VTV Productions, Ganesh’s home-banner. It was then that Meera stepped in as the heroine.
Meera must be hoping that the bad memories films such as Mambattiyan and Mariyadhai would be erased by Inga Enna Solludhu.
